Cyberwell Piping & Waterproofing Sdn. Bhd. (Reg. No. 202001038427 (1392718-K), "Cyberwell", "we", "us") operates the website cyberwell.my. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the site or engage our services, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to comply with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
1. Data we collect
- Enquiry details — name, email address, phone number and the description of your problem when you submit our contact form, call, or message us on WhatsApp.
- Job records — site address, photographs of the works, quotations, invoices and warranty documents created while performing a contract with you.
- Technical data — pages visited and approximate location derived from IP address, collected through cookies where you have consented (see our Cookie Policy).
2. Why we process it
- To respond to enquiries and prepare quotations.
- To schedule, perform and document contracted works, including warranty administration.
- To issue invoices and keep accounting records required by Malaysian law.
- To improve the website based on aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have expressly asked for them.
3. Sharing
Data is shared only where the work requires it: with our own employed crews, with a building's management office when they require contractor and occupant details for access, with our accountants and auditors, or where disclosure is required by law. All of these recipients are bound by confidentiality obligations.
4. Retention
Enquiry data that does not lead to a job is deleted within 12 months. Job records, including photographs and warranty documents, are kept for the duration of the warranty plus 24 months. Accounting records are retained for seven years as required by the Income Tax Act 1967.
5. Security
Records are stored on access-controlled systems available only to staff who need them. Paper documents are kept at our Cyberjaya office and shredded at the end of their retention period.
6. Your rights
Under the PDPA you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent to processing that is not necessary for a contract or legal obligation.
